Graeme Carlile is a Consultant Trauma and Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon at East Suffolk North Essex Foundation Trust. 

Graeme was appointed as a Consultant in 2015, split between Norfolk & Ipswich. In 2023, Graeme moved full time to ESNEFT, with practise across both Ipswich and Colchester. His areas of interest include all aspects of children's orthopaedics, adult & paediatric foot and ankle surgery, adult/paediatric complex disabilities and adult/paediatric trauma surgery.

Graeme has been fortunate to work across the UK, and undertook fellowships in Sydney and Auckland. He is Clinical Lead for Paediatric Orthopaedics across ESNEFT and Clinical Lead for T&O at Ipswich, and a Trust Appraiser.

Academically Graeme has published and presented nationally and internationally; he was an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the UEA, 2017-23, with particular emphasis on postgrad teaching and OSCE's and holds the Cardiff University Bond Solon Expert Witness certificate in Civil Law. 

Graeme is a member of the Higher Education Academy having obtained a PGCertClinEd with Distinction, and is looking forward to working alongside colleagues from the University of Suffolk to develop teaching and research.
