Elise is a passionate disability advocate that has a is always keen to learn more about everything disability and inclusion. She has a disability herself and uses an electric wheelchair to help her get about, this helped develop her passion and learning about all things disability and difference.

Elise has lived in Suffolk her whole life and loves the diversity of the different areas across the county and is really looking forward to supporting students in her new role.

Elise studied an education undergraduate and postgraduate degree at the University of Hertfordshire, specially focused on the Identity development of Disabled Students in Higher Education. She would be open to studying more in the future and hopes to one day complete a PhD.
Prior to this role Elise worked as a project coordinator for Healthwatch Suffolk, who are a watchdog for health and care services. She supported people with lived experience to have their voices herd on matters that they didn't previously through the process of co-production.

Outside of her role at the University of Suffolk, Elise co-presents a radio show called DIScoverABILITY every Wednesday morning which focuses on talking about all things disability and difference happening in Suffolk. Elise is also a Advisory Group Member for a company called Thinklusive that coproduce and translate documents into more accessible formats so that they can be read and understood my all.
